LIFT-OFF
Posted by anthonynorth on February 1, 2007
THE PROBLEM
Western society is thought to be the ultimate in social evolution, but in reality the west is marking time, doing nothing, stagnating. We live lives based totally on consumerism and we descend into worthless trivia.
THE FUTURE
This is not how it should be. We are denying what we really are – explorers. If there is something to know, we should be looking for the answers. We are really Homo Curious. And the ‘final frontier’ has been beckoning for long enough.
THE ANSWER
Our future is space exploration and colonisation. This sub-domain is about how this should happen and why it should happen. We have denied our true nature for too long. It is time for Lift-Off.

Hi Anthony
What you say seems at first glance to be accurate, and this is how we have been encouraged to believe things are. But the technology we are using in the public arena will never get us beyond our planet – and yes I do think the moon trip was possibly a hoax! Even if they did get there I don’t believe they could continue with the technology they have.
However, there is a lot of truth in the UFO/alien space ship technology debate, and if we could harness that correctly I believe we could overcome many of the scientific obstacles around at the moment.
But are there other races out there? If so do we really want to join them? If there aren’t any do we really want to travel only a long distance and find ourselves totally alone in our part of the universe?
There is a lot more to this debate than either of us can give in these short posts, but thanks for the insight. Worth reading!
