ARK OF THE COVENANT

Posted by anthonynorth on May 23, 2007

ten-commandments.jpg No ancient relic causes so much controversy as the Ark of the Covenant. The subject of Spielberg’s ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’, featuring the intrepid Indiana Jones, the film does not exaggerate the passions the mystery of its location and power entails.
Believed to have been constructed from acacia wood by Moses on Mount Sinai about 1250BC, the wooden chest is overlain with solid gold on both the inside and outside. 3ft 9in long and 2ft 3in wide and high, it has a lid of solid gold with a pair of cherubim. Gold rings attached to the Ark’s sides allow poles to pass through to be carried.

WHY AN ARK?

Built according to Divine instructions, the Ark carried the two tablets upon which God scribed the Ten Commandments. Symbolic of the covenant God made between Himself and the people of Israel, it was said to be the focus of God’s presence.
Carried by Levites, members of one of the twelve tribes of Israel, it always went ahead of the Israelites as they wandered through the desert, even going ahead of their armies as they waged war.
When camped, the Ark was placed at the centre of a temporary sanctuary known as the Tabernacle. This centre became known as the Holy of Holies. Once the Promised Land was conquered and the Temple constructed at Jerusalem, the Ark was placed in the Holy of Holies of the temple.
In this respect we can see the Ark as the central symbol of faith. Some mystical Jews have even drawn an analogy of the Ark, with its two tablets inside, with the brain and its two cerebral hemispheres. The Ark remained the centre of their religion until after the Exile to Babylon in the 6th century BC.

OBJECT OF MYSTERY

Today there are two central mysteries concerning the Ark of the Covenant – namely, where is it, and what strange powers did it have? The former enigma comes from its remarkable history.
According to the Old Testament, some time around 1000BC the Ark was captured by the Philistines. For reasons we will narrate later, they eventually let it go, sending it away strapped to a cart pulled by two cows.
Reclaimed by the Israelites, they took it to Kiriath¬ Jearim, with King David eventually taking it to Jerusalem. Here, in 955BC, King Solomon placed it in the Holy of Holies of the first Temple.
At one stage one tradition speaks of it being stolen by Menelik, son of Solomon and Sheba and taken to Axum in Ethiopia. Another tradition speaks of it being taken by the prophet Jeremiah to an unknown cave prior to the Babylonian destruction of the Temple in 587BC.
What exactly happened is not known – it could have been simply destroyed – but the Ark was never seen again.

WHERE IS IT?

There are several theories concerning the location of the Ark. In 1952 a scroll known as the Copper Scroll was found near the caves at Qumran where the famous Dead Sea Scrolls were found. The scroll purportedly contains a list of sacred items that used to reside in Herod the Great’s second Temple, destroyed by the Romans in 70AD.
Among the listed items, it is thought, is the Ark. This discovery eventually fascinated American archaeologist Vendyl Jones. As director of the Institute for Judaic Christian Rsearch in Texas, Jones, who claims to be the real Indiana Jones, led an expedition to the area in March 1992. Claiming to have unearthed incense from the Temple, in May the Israeli Antiquities Authority suddenly stopped the excavation without explanation.
Could the Ark be buried near Qumran? Graham Hancock thinks not. According to him, the Ark remained in the Temple at Jerusalem until about 650BC.

CHURCH OF ST MARY

At this time Judea was ruled by a pagan king called Manasseh. Fearing he would destroy the Ark, the priests clandestinely removed it to a new temple in Elephantine in Egypt. In 410BC this temple was destroyed.
Rescued, Hancock claims the Ark was taken to Lake Tana in Ethiopia, and in 350AD to Axum. Being placed in a specially constructed Church of St Mary of Zion, except for minor removals during medieval times, it has remained there ever since.
To this day the church is guarded by a single monk known as the guardian of the Ark, spending his entire lifetime protecting the relic and allowing no one inside.
Whether the real Ark is really in the church, no one knows, but certainly a replica of the Ark exists here, and is carried in procession once a year during the feast of Timkat. However, apart from the mystery of its location, just as intriguing are powers that are said to be invested in the Ark.

REMARKABLE POWERS

The Old Testament speaks clearly of the Divine power of the Ark. When captured by the Philistines, they quickly got rid of it when they came down with a terrifying plague which caused cancerous tumours.
At Jericho the Ark was marched around the walls, and it is said to have been its power that caused the walls to fall down. Others who inadvertently touched it were instantly killed, and only a chosen few could manage to carry it on its poles, well over a hundred yards ahead of the people. Moses himself is said to have had a face that shined, and usually wore a cowl, after building the Ark.
Due to such powers, many theories have been offered as to what the Ark really was. Some even believe it was actually a small nuclear reactor, hence the cancerous boils, Moses’s ‘radiation effects’ and its seemingly miraculous power.

POWERS EXPLAINED?

Of course, easy answers can be placed on the powers of the Ark. It is well accepted that the walls of Jericho fell due to earthquake activity. Similarly, belief in its power was all that was needed for the Philistines to imagine disaster, possibly even causing some form of hysterically induced poltergeist activity.
As for the dangers of boils from being too close to the Ark, suggestion can easily cause illness in such a superstitious culture. Curses are known to happen in many primitive societies, based on the absolute belief that a curse can work.
But all this is irrelevant to the real power of the Ark. Thought of as the throne for the earthly power of an invisible God, it represented the very centre of faith to the people who birthed the idea of monotheism.
In this, sense, whether real or imagined, the Ark remains an icon of world-changing proportions. And there is no greater power than this.

I’ve always been interested in it. Enough mention of it exists that even non-Christians can accept that it existed, but I’ve always wondered if it got stuck somewhere or what. I doubt it was destroyed, seems like SOMEONE would have known.

  2. Howdy, and thanks for the article. Count me among those who believe the ark mentioned in Revelation 11:9 might be the earthly one you are discussing — after all, God certainly knows where it is!

Also, I would think that discovering the location of the ark might provide great incentive for the Jews to begin their system of animal sacrifices again, even without control of the Temple Mount. We know that sacrifices will begin again (Daniel 12:11 – They have to start in order to stop!), and the discovery of the ark would certainly stir the Jewish community worldwide (not to mention other not-so-favorable communities).

    Thanks, again for the article!

  3. Dear me, Wallace, such a disregard for Biblical studies. Daniel is an apocryphal piece, largely accepted as being written in the 2nd century BC, when Jews were oppressed and forced into previous ways – hardly the interpretation you’re making.
Those previous ways were, I believe, prior to Judaism as a religion – Abraham and Isaac, and all that. What you are saying is a little like calling Christians Christians when they were pagan. You are upsetting a lot of Christians here, my friend.
‘Not so favorable’ communities? No such thing in my universe. Free speech, yes. Unfortunately.

  4. “Today there are two central mysteries concerning the Ark of the Covenant – namely, where is it, and what strange powers did it have?”

My best. Buried under the temple mount.

“No ancient relic causes so much controversy as the Ark of the Covenant” — what about the tomb of Jesus? That came close for a week…

There is no way to prove that the Jesus son of Joseph father of Judah, is the same Jesus that many follow today. I wrestled over many things regarding Jesus and his divinity (including the ancient religions and the similarities to Christianity), but people going off half cocked saying that this is the tomb of Jesus because they have names that were extremely common, especially if you are of the tribe of Judah, is ridiculous…

Tony, are you implying by means of a subtle or not so subtle hint Jews were not at Babylon at time of King Neb? since Daniel focused on his trials and tribulations. Well, who wrote Daniel? why would it be the start of Apocalypse of John if its only apocrypha like the Apocalypse.

I don’t recall Daniel mentioning the Ark, unless my Bible vers has been so edited as to omit any reference to anything held sacred by believing Jews, but includes everything needed to enhance the NT.

When someone’s belief system is of a religious nature wishing salvation for all souls and not nuclear destruction of everybody, why are you and a gazillion gnostics continually nitpick and harp about this. I can understand you going to the barricades if a billion or 2 fanatics said we have the truth and its nuclear and we plan to use it to purify you. That is not an all embracing comforting thought is it.

I am puzzled by the fact the Koran promises all these houris to moslems in paradise, where did Mohammed find all of them, how did he get them pre-transported to paradise alive in order to greet these sojourners, how does Mohammed know how many houris he needs to have enough to go around for future generations. What age are they, do they stop aging once they get transported to paradise?

These sorts of topics make more sense to me to be inquisitive about instead of antagonize folk who believe in Judaism or Christianity. Am I the only person on the planet who is not overtly concerned about the whereabouts of the Ark, but am extremely curious about what 1 billion moslems on the planet now take for granted, and I find no answer to my questions in either Koran or hadiths, yet some of the more fanatical of them will willingly do us in so they get their houris.

  8. I don’t recall saying Jews were, or were not, in Babylon at the time you state. I was simply making a point about the Bible, which may or may not be true; and only then in reply to a comment. I don’t spend a great deal of time worrying about it one way or the other – what fascinates me is the ‘culture’ of the thing.
What worries me is the idea you can score political, or other points about it all today, no matter what side of the divide you are on.

ARK OF THE COVENANT…. (Meaning of some words are at end marked with astrik)

As mentioned in the Holy Quran (Holy Book of Muslims) the ARK OF THE COVENANT is known as TABOOT E SAKINA.. which was carried by the israeli people and was regarded as a Holy Book .. A Holy Book which can only be touched by those who were pious .. This can be the main reason why many people could not touch the ARK OF THE COVENANT….

Secondly we muslims believe the Our Imam*1 e Zamana AS.. Great Grand Son of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad PBUH who is in OCCULTATION since 275 A.D is guarding the ARK OF THE COVENANT, and when he would come near the day of judgement he would bring it with him.. inshallah..

    thats REAL FREEDOM.

Hi Tony. This is an important message, please read and pass it along. God has made contact. The message is about Revelation. The message is from God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost respectively. It was sent in the Spring of 2006. It is about the meaning of First is Last and Last is First as written in Revelation. The message is this: In the morning I go to Heaven. In the afternoon I live my life. In the evening I die, death. What does this mean? In other words this means Birth is Last and Last is Birth. To understand this don’t think from point A to point B. Think of this as a continous circle of life. Birth is First, Life, Death, Birth is Last, completing the circle. God also said that Judgment will be before Birth in Heaven. AS birth on Earth is painful so will birth in Heaven. It is possible that this message was delivered by one of God’s Angels in the Spring of 2006. Yes, God has made contact and he sent a messenger. Spread this message along, just like a chain letter. Tell two people. Melanie Stephan

What makes your claim any different from Emmanuel Swedenborg’s claim of the spiritual return of Christ in the 1750s? Or the International Bible Students’ claim of a return in 1879? Or the Watchtower’s claim of a spiritual return in 1914?

    alan,
I think that everything we humans believe was passed down either from your parents or society, schools, so please tell me how that is freedom, are you telling me Iceland is the only place where you have not been told about something and you havent believed, faith is not the problem it is religion where people add things to what already has been written when there was no need for a change, Jesus christ himself said I came to fullfill the law not to abolish, he said not one dot or word would be changed, I can also understand how religion can make people turn away, but when you grasp faith God provides a vision, he show us Freedom not the way man and the world sees it but as something pure not seeking thy self…but seeking the creator, thats how we learn to respect, love, people and our enviroment.

  16. devoted2you said

    hi alan
I think that we live in a world where we have always been told what to believe, wheter it came from your parents school, society,
and I dont think Iceland is excluded from that religion is not only in church, religion is anything that takes hold of who you are money, work, I can understand the problem with religion but to me God is as far from that as possible he is about being real the genuine heart of who we are its about faith not rules, faith is what gives purpose motivation for what? to love and serve others rules dont touch the heart faith is the gateway to getting closer to God and understanding who we are and what we are here for, in history people have added their own agendas to what was already God breathed the word of God, not religion
and that just us playing out the God role when that position has been filled for ages, as Jesus put it best he did not come to abolish the law but to fullfill it, not one dot or word would be changed because God is the author of our lives…and if we live it out we will find ourselves and freedom not the one this world offers but a pure freedom unstained by men…

Hi Adam, cause the message comes straight from God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost. And this is a recent message, the spring of 2006. Spring is when everything that has been sleeping or dead from winter comes back to life. Heres in a nutshell is what I think plausible regarding the Ark.
The ark is a mechanical device that looks and sounds esoteric-this perpetrated by its biblical reference. However, it was designed to hold radioactive material. It was not only made with ‘layered gold’ but its interior was insulated and it was carried via two poles to minimise direct contact with its bearers. The cherub adorning its cover are what served as antenna’s that could conduct electricity and actually charge its contents.Consider it among other things also sarcophagus like in its re animation abilities. The tablets of Commandments were forged via radioactive force which is partly why in the bible GOD wants no man to look upon his face and also why Moses being present during the creation of the tablets has a glowing countenance when coming down from the mount.Significant Radioactive contact will do that to a human. The dose of radiation poisoning Moses received is also why GOD tells him (yes it sounded like a prediction)that he could look at Canaan but would never be able to go there. His radiation poisoning was advanced. The connection (and this is highly theoretical)continues as to why some bibles state that no man knows where Moses’body lays to this day. It was disposed off carefully so as not to affect the israelites;it was irradiated flesh. In closing I believe there is more than one ark so yes there is one in Ethiopia and also one in Scotland. There is a chance that one may just be a replica but I suspect that they are both original working devices. This is my theory which like any theory is open to belief or skepticism and I remain open to any new light being shed on these topics. The above can be researched on the net and I have deliberately written it simplistic so as to only influence readers to read and research independent of my personal pointers

  19. Hi Gunn Starr,
I obviously don’t accept your view of the Ark, but know that many like this idea, and the facts seem to fit – if, of course, we accept nuclear reactors existed at this time, which I don’t.
Regardless of this, I like to encourage all views on a subject, and would never dream of trying to refute ideas; unless they conflict directly with my own research, of course.
One minor point to the above. Moses and all the Israelites were banished from Canaan and condemned to walk the wilderness for forty years. This was, according to the Bible, because they built a Golden Calf and held an orgy.

Here’s a nutty idea; It (the Ark) is exactly what the Bible/GOD said it is. Also Tony remember, (regarding the book of Daniel- “largely accepted as”-quote to Wallace) that at one time the atom was “largely accepted as” the smallest measureable unit in existance. Also doesn’t Jesus make some quotes from “apocryphal pieces”? Melanie, Does not the Bible say that when Jesus returns “ALL” of the church will see Him- not just one person? Which is why the Bible says when you hear someone say, he is here or there come and see, “DO NOT” because it is a lie – it is the anti-christ instead(?)And doesn’t GOD say (in Hebrews I think) that GOD will not be doing the speaking to us anymore thing untill Judgement is at hand.- in effect HE’s said all that needs be – take it or leave it… Here’s what everybody needs to focus on… “Did the Resurection actually happen”? If so, everything else is a tiny pill, if not what does it matter? To those”qualified”
research that; that will tell you all you need to know.

    Happy hunting to you all

God went to a lot of trouble to get his message out. This is what God had to say during the month of Aug. 2007, on this website:
Non-Prophet, Are you going to Hell? He is also worried about all of his creations. He is your Father.

    hello,

actually it’s not all that difficult to know what or where the ark of the covenant is. i’m sure there is some distorted version of the ark that is here on this planet and i have a feeling i know what it is but won’t say. to understand the ark and its purpose one needs only look at the symbols surrounding it. funny, one can go to wikipedia and get all they need. yes, i know wikipedia isn’t exactly an accurate source of information but nevertheless it is useful.

i’ve been researching the poussin paintings and have come up with some interesting interpretations. in the shepards of arcadia there are three shepards standing next to a tomb with the inscription “in et arcadia ego” or something like that. there is a woman standing next to one of the shepards with a hand on his shoulder. part of the word arcadia is, of course, arc or ark. arcadia is another name for orion. so now we know that the ark or the real one is in orion. it is in the heavens but how is that useful for us?

the three shepards in the poussin painting are the three belt stars of orion. the inscription flows into the knee of one of the shepards. the star in the left knee of orion is RIGEL. hmmm… consulting astronomy websites we know that rigel is about to go supernova. actually, it already has but its light won’t be seen until the end of october. the tomb in the painting is the ark itself. a tomb represents the death of rigel and the release of gamma rays. the woman standing to the side of the shepards represents the supernova itself. historically and mythologically women do represent or are associated with supernovas such as cassiopaea.

a quick glance at wikipeia and the ark of the covenant it says that the ark is known as GOD’S FOOTSTOOL. i consulted some star charts and found that near rigel is a star called CURSA. cursa is in the neighboring eridanus constellation and is described or means GOD’S FOOTSTOOL. i forget which astronomy website said this but i read that the expanded version of cursa or god’s footstool is a BOX of stars that includes rigel. hmmm… that box could be the same as the box or tomb in the poussin painting. so we have a box in the heavens or in arcadia that contains a star that is about to go supernova. in tales of the ark of the covenant it is said that it gives off radiation. well, the light of rigel’s supernova when it reaches us will be a radiation of sort called gamma rays.

gamma rays in the context of ascension or waking up are extremely important. we know that gamma rays can mutate dna, not necessarily a bad thing. has anyone seen the x-men, x being a symbol of the chromosome, or the television show heroes again with a symbol that looks like a strand of dna?

what else is this word GAMMA associated with. it happens that when we wake up in the morning our brain goes into a gamma state. the gamma state of the brain is a high oscillation of electrical activity where neurons are firing all over the place so that when you open your eyes you can see or assemble your reality. the gamma state in our brains is also present during high levels of learning and cognition and we know that knowledge or learning is a way of seeing things we haven’t seen before. learning is waking up to a new reality.

getting back to the ark what if the heavenly ark didn’t hold the ten commandents but rather the instructions to hook up 10 strands of dna. with more strands of dna operating we would be capable of phenomenal feats of perception. we would literally be able to assemble an entirely new dimension or density. added dna instructions would enable us to operate within this new energetic environment we’ve constructed.

how do i know that this supernova and the ark itself is going to alter our dna? well, i go to wikipedia and ark of the covenant and down on the right side is a picture of a bas-relief from auch cathedral. in this relief it shows the ark or box with two cherubim on top being carried with two poles and by four men. the cherubim represent dna, the two poles represent the bannisters or railing of the dna, the box or ark is genetic instructions and the four men are the four amino acids of adenine, thymine, cytosine and guanine.

in the story of the ark in wikipedia it talks about the ark crossing the river jordan, actually it’s energy will cross the river eridanus or constellation eridanus. the ark is carried by seven priests or the seven primary stars of orion. the ark is taken to jericho which falls immediately. jericho means “the moon.” the moon in this context with the ark has a cellular and soul meaning. when we fall into matter or are born in this life we come under the domination of the moon or water. we are water based beings. by the ark destroying jericho or the moon it means that the energy from the rigel supernova will transform us from water beings to light beings. there will be a transfer of dna activities from the nucleus or moon of the cell to the mitochondrion or sun of the cell. in alchemy this is known as transforming lead to gold. lead represents the moon and gold represents the sun. lead represents current cell and soul activities of the nucleus and gold represents the desired cell activities of the mitochondrion or sun. the mitochondrion is where the energy that fuels cell activities occurs.

the mitochondrion produces ATP or adenosine triphosphate a very potent energy source. having our dna activities next to the production of ATP will add the needed energy for ascension and the production of phenomenal new proteins that will assist in our transformation from water to light or energy.

i have more research and can incorporate the mona lisa, the last supper, the pieta and other works of art into what is meant by the ark. hope this helps, good luck see you in arcadia

    joe

hello everyone, would like to continue on with my last missive about the true ark of the covenant. i’ll write a little bit more about Poussin, the Fatima Predictions and wrap it up with Rennes le Chateau.

Let’s return to the poussin painting, “The Shepards of Arcadia.” Between the shoulder blades of the middle shepard one can see a shadow of an elongated cross. The elongated cross is a symbolic version of a sword, Orion’s sword. this sword/cross shadow gives us a location for the scene in the painting which is the constellation of Orion. The middle shepard also points at the letter “R” which I believe stands for “RIGEL” or instead of Sang Raal or Sang Real is actually Sang Rigel. The holy blood or wine is the gamma rays that will radiate outward from the Rigel supernova. Symbolically wine changes consciousness so the wine of the gamma rays will perform the same function. The thumb of the shepards hand is at the “A” and the other shepards finger is on the “C.” A, R, C spell arc code for ARK.

How do I know that gamma rays are associated with a shift in consciousness? Well, in our own brains we have an elevated level of brain activity called a gamma state. The gamma state in our brains is characterized by an increase of electrical Hertz activity which is placed at 40hz. Our own gamma states occur when we “wake up” in the morning and neurons are firing furiously while they harmonize information from our perceptive senses. Gamma state occurs during REM sleep which is another way of assembling information that is suppressed by our subconscious which means “waking up” to our hidden, shadow selves. The final activity that designates a gamma state is high levels of learning and cognition. When one learns or becomes knowledgeable one “wakes up” to a new reality created by understanding. One sees more, knows more and can make better choices thus affecting expanding one’s reality.

Let’s take a quick trip to Rennes le Chateau. I saw some pictures of the Tour de Magdala or tower of the Magdalene that was constructed there. The tower of the Magdalene has its counterpart in the Orion Constellation which is the “Horsehead Nebula.” When one, or at least when I do, looks at the Horsehead Nebula one can actually see a dark tower with a kind of gauzy woman coming out of it. This tower with a woman is watching over Rigel. The tower at Rennes le Chateau is watching over a verdant valley. Also at Rennes le Chateau is a stained glass window that you should google. It has three wise men, three belt stars of Orion, sitting at a table with Jesus while Mary is washing Jesus’ feet. The head of Mary with a halo of light, who represents the supernova itself, is at Jesus’ left knee which is exactly where Rigel is. Jesus himself represents Orion or more specifically the sword of Orion which acts as a DNA transfer mechanism.

In Poussin’s painting of Autumn the idea of gamma rays and a harvest for those souls who are ready to graduate this reality is thematically presented. In the Autumn painting there are two men carrying an enormous bunch of over-sized grapes. The grapes represent gamma rays or the energy that will “wake up” humanity. Coming out the top of the grapes is a ladder with a woman picking apples. The ladder coming out of the grapes represents mitochondrial DNA that is affected by the grape gamma rays and then is ready for harvest which is the picking of the apples. Apples also represent rebirth, seeing and probably have something to do with the pineal, pituitary and hippocampus in our brains.

I also started looked at the Fatima predictions which seem to correspond to what I’ve been writing here. In 1917 in Portugal THREE young SHEPARD children were spoken to by a vision of the Virgin Mary in the sky. Three shepards corresponds with the three shepard belt stars of Orion. The young child who lived the longest and was sort of the spokesperson was name “Lucia” or light which is another female associated with a supernova. The predictions occured over six months from May 13 to October 13. I’m not going to go into them here but you can look them up if you want. The last prediction was called “The Miracle of the Sun” and pretty well describes a supernova explosion as would be seen through a child’s eyes. Other wording around these predictions were that she, Virgin Mary, opened her hands and a bright shining light radiated out from her. Even the wording with Russia seems to apply to now and not what people thought as World War I and II. Russia just recently claimed the north pole which is a symbolic way of saying we own the planet.

I’m not writing this because I believe anyone should conclude anything religious out of what I’m saying. I’m simply interpreting symbols that usually had to be put into a religious context in order to escape church censors. what is being described here is part of the path of ascension and is more science and nature than anything else. These are not messages from God but rather the result of inspiration and hard work. There are no saviors in this world we all need to begin taking responsiblity for ourselves and not expect some glorified leader to come along and save us from the mess we helped to created.

Knowledge not Ignorance and “As above, so below.” I don’t belong to any secret organizations and I believe that each and everyone of us has a function within the divine plan of the Goddess and the rebirth and renewal of humanity. The Goddess in my world is not some mysterious fuzzy concept of Celtic feminity. The Goddess is the creative energy that infuses all creation and in our own cells is represented by the mitochondrial DNA and ribosomes. The Goddess is the energy of spring, even a galactic hyper-dimensional spring such as that alluded to by the Garden of Eden in Genesis and Botticelli in his painting of the Birth of Venus.

Good Luck and Goddess Bless, Joe

a follow up on what i’ve noticed on the blog.

In addition to the Poussin paintings that I’ve looked at I’ve been able to understand the messages of other pieces such as The Last Supper, The Mona Lisa, The Pieta, Tintoretto’s Last Supper and the seasonal works of art of Botticelli and Poussin and I know what the Venus of Willendorf is as well as other major artworks. The reason I’m able to understand these works of art is because I’ve devoted my life to knowledge and understanding but not necessarily good grammar and sentence construction. Yes, I do receive inspiration in the form of dreams or maybe a word or a line from higher sources. These “higher” inspirational sources don’t do my work for me. What would be the use to “me” if all I did was repeat verbatim what “I” claim is a message from God or an Angel. I receive higher help because I’ve proven that I’ll meticulously research any topic and not take anything for granted. No one can walk the path of ascension or evolution for you. If you want the Holy Grail then you should be willing to put in the hard work and sacrifice that it entails. As a hint, look the Mona Lisa in the eyes and see where you can spot the Grail. Once you spot the Grail go and research what occurs anatomically in that area. Another hint, pigeons have them. Stop looking for the grail and the ark outside yourself and who cares if some cup claiming to have held the blood of Christ is found or a radioactive box that’s supposed to be the Ark of the Covenant is dug up somewhere. You are the Grail, you are the Ark, you are Christ, you are the Magdalene and you are more than all these put together. Just put it together.

If one is receiving what they claim is a message from God then take key words and do your best to enrich that message so what you share is knowledge. Refine and hone the message so that it will be useful and understood by everyone. The Ark, The Grail, King Arkthur, The Sword, The Stone, The Lady of Lake are representative of evolutionary energy patterns. Not only are all these symbols literally up in the constellations but they are in our cells or under our skin which is where the Temple of Solomon really is by the way. Research your own DNA, mitochondrion, ribosomes and cellular reproduction and revel in the journey of discovery.

I found this except from a document entitled Official Correspondence #105 which concerns the Lost Ark that you mau like to consider. JHL

    from Official Correspondence #105…

…What was unknown to the United States government…was that the King of England was possessed of exquisite religious information… The seminal element of this information concerns the continuing existence of the Ark of the Covenant which is understood, to the discomfort of Christians and Jews alike, to be enshrined in the Kaba in Mecca.

The spiritual legitimacy inherent to the possession of this icon, a power which cannot be overstated, has tempted Babylonians, Romans, and Christians as it is believed that its reappearance will signify the coming of the Messiah, the return of Jesus Christ or the Day of Judgment by Jews, Christians or Muslims respectively.

The mystery surrounding the disappearance of the Ark from the Temple of Solomon has been cultivated in western literature to suppress suspicions of its existence as the center of Islamic worship, while Muslim leaders have used its existence secretly to, either from the Sunni tradition, reactively reward the faithful, or under Shia tradition, proactively promote the spread of Islam.

The candid military assessment of the claims made against this icon from the perspective of its employment as a motivational tool suggests that the Ark has undergone five distinct exclusionary incarnations since its creation, each responsible for its own competing school of thought.

The Ark’s design and function followed the traditional funeral arts of Pharaonic Egypt where the personification of human remains had become a state institution. The cooperative unification of the Upper and Lower Kingdoms under King Menes suggests that peace was achieved through seduction rather than military force and that the enticement was the proof of life after death as demonstrated by the sacrifice of great treasures entombed with the deceased king.

The flaw in the concept was that the royal treasury could not afford the loss of sufficiently convincing offerings and the price of peace in the valley of the Nile was a breach of confidence with the people when the king and the priests conspired to return the treasures to the royal treasury before the tombs were sealed.

The peace dividend resulting from a kingdom united seemed to justify the king’s duplicity, however over succeeding generations the number of tombs multiplied and the wealth of the kingdom assumed mythical proportions which, ironically, would entice the alliance of otherwise mutually antagonistic kingdoms to plunder it.

As Egypt’s geological defenses were increasingly weakened by new technologies such as the appearance of highly superior timber-planked ships of the proto-Greeks (Jason or Ulysses) and the introduction of forged iron weapons imported under the highest secrecy from Babylon (Abraham), the Pharaohs were obliged to create defenses equal to the task of protecting their imaginary wealth.

The creation of the Ark as a symbol of Pharaoh, the living god, coincided with the campaign of Pharaoh Kamose and his brother Amosis (Moses) to relocate the Hyksos population from the eastern Nile delta to the Sinai Peninsula to establish a defensive colony on the land bridge between Egypt and the Middle East.

Over time, as the cost and effectiveness of maintaining a desert colony was reevaluated, it was decided that an improvement in its defensive capabilities at a lower cost could be made by installing the Hyksos in the city of Jericho. A protocol was worked out between Joshua and King Balak with Pharaoh’s blessing in which the Ark was exchanged for control of the city. To promote civil obedience, the Ark’s transfer to Balak was obscured from the Hyksos and similarly, to maintain the religious harmony of Moab, Balak would relocate the Ark to Mecca in secrecy.

With increased agricultural self-sufficiency from the Jordan River, the added security of a walled city and contact with pre-existing religions of Jericho, the effectiveness of the Hyksos as a military force declined and so a revised, more introverted, social order was instituted that became the Hebrews as defined by the scrolls of the living Torah, the declaration of independence of the State of Israel.

The religious credibility of the emerging state was hampered by the undeclared absence of the Ark. Its presence was mimed by the high priest but the people needed to see it from time to time to renew their faith in the seamless continuity between verbal representation and the physical world.

Conditions deteriorated to the point that the high priest Samuel was forced to declare that the Ark was missing and the overt military campaign to recover it was undertaken by the anointing of King Saul while the covert diplomatic campaign to petition its return was undertaken by David with the clandestine assistance, it is strongly argued, of the international homosexual community which had been outlawed in Israel as one means of isolating the Jews from the rest of the ancient world.

The reappearance of the Ark would elevate David to the throne of Israel, however, through his involvement with Bathsheba the wife of Uriah the Hittite who would leverage her knowledge of the sexual relationship between David and Uriah to secure the throne of Israel for her son, Solomon, his legacy would be its destruction.

Burdened by the intimate knowledge that emblems of Pharaoh Kamose were what the Ark, in fact, contained, King David enjoined Solomon to build a temple intended to become the permanent shrine for the Ark from which, following its last appearance on earth, it was hidden in the throne of the Queen of Sheba and returned to Mecca.

In the Time of Herod the Great when Israel and Egypt were being absorbed by the Roman Empire, a plan was formulated to conserve the power of the Ark by converting Rome itself to Judaism. An assignation between Herod and Elizabeth, wife of the high priest Zachariah, provided the seed for the artificial insemination of Mary of the House of David to produce an heir to the throne to whom, following a suitable indoctrination, the secret of the Ark would be entrusted.

The education of Jesus would trace an ascending path through the ranks of Jewish rabbis ending in the presence of the Ark itself but stopping short of gazing upon it contents which left a fatal breach in his understanding of human endeavor and divine intervention but which maintained the power and immediacy of his reverence and preserved the strategic options of the cabal in Mecca.

Before his death Jesus described the secret of the Ark to James, Peter and John in a moment memorialized as the Transfiguration (Mathew 17:9) which would become one of the cornerstones of the Christian religion referenced directly in John’s promise of the Ark being revealed when the temple of heaven was opened (Revelations 11:19) and again in the allusion to the sixth book, sixth chapter and sixth verse (Joshua 6:6) when the Ark was presented to the city of Jericho (Revelations 13:18).

The Ark’s most recent incarnation came in the aftermath of Rome’s conversion to Christianity as the empire neared the height of its power and began to feel the need and the ability and the worthiness to possess the Ark, however, the deformed and abbreviated history of the Ark that had reached Rome through the efforts of the uncircumcised apostle Paul did not prepare them for the catharsis and confusion that would be induced by the abrupt discovery of the mundane nature of the Ark’s pre-Judaic origin and a means of insulating them from it was devised in the visitation of Muhammad and the assembly of the armies of Islam until the means and the moment and the meaning of the fulfillment of the Ark’s divine purpose was revealed.

Hi Joe and James, Holy Ark of God, that was a long description of the Ark of the Covenent. I know exactly where it is. It’s here in Syracuse. Why don’t you come to Syracuse. Get closer to God and look in the Ark, so I can slam the lid on your heads. Are you two writing a book?

  31. joe monge said

Melanie, don’t lash out at others just because you are incapable of the intellectual heavy-lifting that knowledge requires. If you read the words of the writers on this blog you’ll discover that they are sharing information and ideas so that everyone benefits from the hard work and research of all. No I’m not writing a book, but it’s interesting that you somehow think that writing and books are negative activities. It’s obvious to me, and probably everyone else, that since you can’t stimulate people with your thoughts, you behave like a petulant child in desperate need of daddie’s attention.

  32. Joe,
Yes, this blog is open to ideas, but a few points. 1) Courtesy says comments should be smaller than posts. 2) This blog isn’t by writers, but a writer, me. 3) Personal insults to anyone will not be tolerated.

  33. Hi Melanie,

’so I can slam the lid on your heads.’

    This didn’t help.

  34. joe monge said

Mr. North the not so subtle nature of Melanie’s attack on two people who were engaging in intellectual discourse demanded a response. I didn’t start the nasty dialogue and I didn’t threaten someone with violence. Instead of disciplining me perhaps you should have exposed the underlying nature and intent of Melanie’s post so that we all could better learn how sensible debate is stifled. Thanks for letting me be a part of your blog and I’m genuinely sorry for any trouble I caused. If you need to toss me then that’s o.k. too.

  35. Hi Joe,
Until her last post, which I’ve also admonished her for, Melanie attacked your ideas, not your person. This is part of debate. Your last comment was personal, which is not – provoked, maybe, but I felt the response was disproportionate.
I am certainly not banning you from my blog, but simply point out that you’ve maybe posted enough on the Ark at this time. Bearing in mind my words on brevity and restraint, you’re quite welcome to continue commenting in relation to the posts I place.

I’m surprised no mention is made of Ron Wyatt, who claimed to have found the ark in Jerusalem under a cliff near a site he claimed was Calvary or Golgotha. He claims to have climbed down a tunnel, and come into a chamber filled with debris and saw the cherubim of the ark in this cavern. He also claimed that a crack in the ground from above connected to a place below the cliff he believed to be the site of the crucifixion. Thus he believed the blood of Jesus may have flowed down this crack and dripped onto the Mercy Seat of the Ark, proving his Messiahship. Perhaps because of the non-objectiveness of Wyatt, it is not mentioned. However, if there is any truth to his reports, at all, it should be investigated. The site is next to the freeway outside the city, and is well known, near the so-called “gardern tomb” site that is a popular tourist attraction. He claimed Jeremiah secreted the ark in this cavern.

  37. Hi Roger,
There are many areas of Ark-ology that cannot be dealt with in a simple blog post. However, thanks for mentioning it.

I looked up Ron Wyatt for more information, and found this critique:

I recall back in the “20th” century, after watching the Tom Snyder show, the national news talking about Wyatt’s claims of finding the ark, but holding the location secret until it could be returned to Israel properly. It was a strange story, and was never repeated. I think it was CBS news, or whatever station Snyder was on at that time. Snyder’s show was called “TOMorrow, with Tom Snyder”.

If I was a dentist, Melanie, I would say I’d struck a nerve. If your sensativity has subsided you might describe what of these notions has assailed you that they may be corrected or so that a remedy to your pain might be contemplated. Trust that I know how deeply we hold our religious beliefs and that my intention was not to disparage yours or Joe’s or Mr. North’s or anyone else’s. For the record I would consider it the greatest honor to be near enough to the Ark to have my head slammed by it’s lid although that might not be what you meant. One thing I do know is that the Ark is not here in San Diego. JHL

    Greetings Mr. North,
I was not intending to mock anything. I was refering only to the long silence within this arena, not disparaging Joe’s comments. I have been hoping that there might be someone more knowledgeable than me who might comment on the many interpretations of comment number 28 which had such a profound effect on me. It seemed when I read them that they should be set to music and sung by Bono on world TV. No one else, though, seems interested or intregued. Such is the will of God. Thank you, indeed, for this space of free speech. Pax Vobiscum.

    Hello,
    Re: ARK of the COVENANT

Im a retired Englishman who has been searching for the Ark of the Covenant for many years.
It now seems likely that it was stolen around the time it was first placed into the First Temple which was when the Temple was built.
My search had lead me to a cave in Egypt’s Western desert. Apparently the Ark was being transported to a wealthy Egyptian Govenor of the Baharian Oasis which is south west of Cairo. It is the area where thousands of golden mummies had been discovered.
During my research I noted that the govenor mentioned had lived around the time when the Ark had disapeared. He was also a very wealthy man who no doubt was collecting precious artifacts at the time. My theory was confirmed when I found out that he was also a High Priest so he must have wanted the ark more than anything else. This is all documented in a book that I am now seeking to get published.

Many people have been looking for the Ark since the time it disappeared some had looked for clues in the Scriptures yet no one has found the Ark or even an ancient copy. That didnt surprise me if the Ark had been stolen!….food for thought?

If anyone wants more information then contact me at
    arkquest2002@yahoo.com

    Gerry

  48. Hi Gerry,
    Thanks for that input.

The Ark is not only menmtioned in the Old and New Testament but there is also a reference to it in the Koran.

The latest quest was by Tudor Parafit which was aired on UK TV. He had also written a book. However he believes that the Ark was a drum ( which does not fit the description of the Ark in Exodus)Apparently it was used by a tribe that now exists in southern Africa who could be one of the lost Tribes of Isreal.

According to his research a wooden drum is now in a museum. He had taken a fragment of it for carbon dating and it was diagnosed to be about 700 years old!

I felt that the documentary was more about him finding that presumed lost tribe and not the Ark of the Covenant.

  50. Hi Gerry,
I only caught the last half hour of this documentary, so cannot review it authoritatively, but from what I saw, I was quite disappointed.
Yes, it is highly likely that some Jews went to the Yemen, particularly following the Babylonian Exile in the 6th century BC. And from there to South Africa.
But to then attach an ‘Ark’ story to them just does not fit the facts. The description is, indeed, wrong, and it is a massive leap of faith to argue thus.
The idea that such a drum could have been carried before soldiers into battle, as with the Ark, proves nothing. What army, up to recent times, didn’t have drums and horns, and pipes to march them into battle?

  51. Gerry Cannon said

According to the scriptures, the last time that the Ark was mentioned in the scriptures was when it was placed in Solomon’s Temple. The temple was lavishly decorated in pure gold and precious items.

However there was no mention of the temple being guarded , which is strange. Perhaps, it was because it was a House of worship and like up to a few years ago house of worships around the world were never guarded. Most of them had their devoted community living in the its surrounding area.
I would be sacrilege for anyone to have robbed it.

Yet if anyone wanted to steal the Ark with a tough band of men then it would not have been a difficult task so we cannot rulke out the idea that the reason why the ark disappeared was because it could have been stolen…….

  52. Gerry Cannon said

The scriptures mentions that no one could touch the Ark except the High Priest. Anyone doing so would instantly die.
Perhaps that was a decoy to prevent people from stealing it so the community would be afraid to go near it but that might not have scared the robbers.

I dont think the Ark had those powers as the Philistiens had captured it and although they had problems and returned it to the Isralites there was no mention that any of them had died from touching it.

  53. Hi Gerry,
Perhaps it had the protection of culture. There is nothing more powerful to those who believe, or fear, it.

THE NEW BOOK ABOUT THE TEMPLARS AND THE ARK OF THE COVENENT
THE SECRET HISTORY OF CHRISTIANITY ISBN 978-1-84529-763-3
The book investigates the claims of Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code and investigates the relationship between Jesus and Mary Magdalene and the 2000 year old mystery as to how the Church of Rome suppressed the marriage of Jesus. An interesting case is made to name the biological father of Jesus as recorded but hidden in the scriptures. The educational years of Jesus are investigated and his education as a ‘faith healer’ under the teachings of the Essenes who were part of the Egyptian establishment. The symbolic legacies from the Pharaohs are today still to be seen in our churches. The marital status of Jesus to Mary Magdalene is covered in depth with the history of their descendents who fled the Holy Land after the crucifixion and lived out their lives in France. A Chapter on the intrigue of the Rennes-le-Chateau mystery outlines how the descendant’s of Mary Magdalene were integrated into the French nobility. Lateral thinking in a chapter on Alchemy puts forward a case that Saunière, the priest at Rennes le Chateau got his wealth from alchemy but the author uses the devils advocate to suggest that an alternative theory is that he was just blackmailing the Church of Rome.

‘THE SECRET HISTORY OF CHRISTIANITY’ then follows the trail for the descendants of Jesus and moves to the crusaders and the origins of the Knight Templars and how their political arm; the Priory of Sion manipulated the Crusaders and are still with us today. The narrative covers the French suppression of the Templars and the Cathar people in the south of France which then follows through into investigations into the Holy Grail. The links to the Templars in Scottish history and the hidden secrets of Rosslyn Chapel are outlined.
