PARANORMAL FLASH – FIVE

PARANORMAL FLASH
Five – Discarnate, or What?
When a mind intrusion occurs, such as a reincarnated person or
contact with the dead by a medium, we can rationally say it does
not involve existing dead entities. But to do so, we must try to
understand where the invasions come from. Two factors are vital.
Why does the entity appear so real? Where does the sometimes
accurate information come from?
Brain physiology can offer an
answer to the first.
In the split-brain concept we know that the two cerebral hemispheres
of the brain can have opposing function. The left brain tends to be
the rationalist, whilst the right brain is the fantasist, adding emotion,
artistry, etc. We live in the left brain most of the time, but it has
been argued that the right brain can often intrude. When it does, it
can appear like a discarnate voice or entity. To the creative type,
this is the muse – the centre of inspiration. To others, immersed in a
different type of culture, it could well be seen as the voice of the
dead. But what about the information an entity can convey?
We live in a world of information
without realizing it.
Indeed, we only ‘remember’ information upon which we focus our
attention. Yet, the rest of this information does not disappear.
Rather, it seems it goes straight into the unconscious. In a
phenomenon know as Cryptomnesia this information can rise into
consciousness. And it can be quite startling. Cases of reincarnation
have been traced to novels, films or articles, sometimes with errors
intact. In one case a Swedish girl remembered a Medieval song in
Old English from a book she simply flicked through in a library. When
regressed hypnotically to remember a past life, the song attached
to the life, colouring a fantasized entity with fact. And cryptomnesia
can go on to answer so much more …

MEDIA NEWS: Murdoch Jr has
given a speech in the UK slanging
the BBC as state sponsored journalism
which is impeding media. I’d like to agree with
him but I can’t. When ‘free’ media is controlled globally
by a handful of Big Biz propagandists with a united agenda, I’d
rather keep an outlet with a different agenda to keep the balance.
TV WATCH: I watched the new ITV adaptation of Wuthering
Heights at the weekend. The greatest love story ever,
Peter Bowker’s adaptation was first class. Cathy
and Heathcliff were played to perfection by
Charlotte Riley and Tom Hardy, and Sarah
Lancashire was excellent as Nelly Dean.
So often TV adaptations fail to grab
me, but I thoroughly enjoyed this.

THE LUSTER
The Luster is a predatory sort,
Sexual threats he turns into sport,
Always recounting his latest conquest,
Problem is, people glare and detest;
His salacious ways make them baulk,
Meaning, of course, he’s usually all talk
FLASH 55 – THE INFORMANT
Fiction: Don’t call me an informer. I don’t like it. It’s not fair. We have
to speak out, and there’s nothing negative about it. He did it. He did!
I was there. I saw it all. AND I suffered. I really did. Yes I DO know
the code. We don’t tell. But he did it … Mom!!!
THE THREAT
Don’t we just love a treat,
Things that lustre, or to drink or eat;
Problem is they are usually bad,
To resistance we glare; be so sad,
So we indulge, never mind the regret,
Forgetting an ‘h’ in treat is threat
THE GLARE
Oh, what a lovely glare,
I stand silently – but what of despair?
At first it never seemed a threat,
Beautiful lustre – yet …
Now for relief I can but hope,
In the mirror I glare – see sunburn; a dope

Long back when I read your blog for the first time I was quite lost.Cause I came here through 3ww and I always tried to search the 3 words and it kept me confused.
But now when I see the big picture I must tell you your blog is quite wonderful.Every post in itself is so good.
Cryptomnesia showed me real insights to what was behind the scenes.
Keep the good work going Anthony

Hi Gautami,
Yes, we are indeed. An immense amount of information.
Hi Sriharsha,
Many thanks for those kind words. They are much appreciated.

Good Morning Anthony~ Your writing on Paranormal Flash today is very insightful. Cryptomnesia is one of the better explanations I’ve heard to explain paranormal activity.
Your fiction: The Informant is cleverly written from the child’s point of view. Have a great day.

Just have to say, I love your piece The Glare!
anthonynorth said
Hi Michelle,
Thanks for that. Yes, and even though theories can be placed, it still doesn’t stop it being a fascinating subject.
Hi Crystal,
Many thanks. Much appreciated.

Gawd, Tony, I’ve known guys like the one in “Luster.” All talk is right. What bores.
anthonynorth said
Hi Thom,
They certainly are – and there’s a lot of them about.

More insight for me concerning paranormal activities. Most confusing for me, but you are making a lot of sense. Thanks for that.
As for the media issue. I so concur. We have a federal one at this moment that is doing the exact same thing. Feeding you what they want you to know. Fair and balanced? Not one bit.
I loved the treat and the threat. So very true indeed. Made me smile.
Have a terrific day Anthony.

good one Anthony..
i am surprised at the depth of your knowledge..

Hi Sandee,
Many thanks. Most paranormal phenomena can be explained rationally, I’m sure.
Hi Shraddha,
Thanks for that. I’ve been researching the paranormal for many years. My pet subject.

Your take on paranormal entities, reincarnation and the like is level-headed and understandable. People like myself who haven’t experienced anything of that nature, can easily accept your theory. I wonder whether a person who has experienced something they see as paranormal would be able to accept it as easily though? Has a commenter in the past ever expressed an opinion, having experienced something paranormal in the past themselves, AN? It’d be interesting to know.
I hope we’ll get the TV version of Wuthering Heights over here in due course. Sounds good!

and why would yours not impress me
you take it to a whole new level anthony!
The Glare of Threat
anthonynorth said
Hi Twilight,
In my earlier essays on the subject I often got heated comments. Sceptics accused me of being a believer, believers accused me of being a sceptic. To me, that’s proof that I may be closer to the reality of it all. And no, most who have experienced such things rarely accept my ideas.
The Wuthering Heights adaptation was excellent, and done by the same writer who recently did Desperate Romantcs.
anthonynorth said
Hi AD,
Many thanks – and far too kind
Twilight said
Hmmm thanks for answering, AN. Perhaps their experiences burn into the consciousness so deeply – a kind of shock to the system – that they are unable to see what happened in any way differently from their first impressions. For some it could be because they work more right-brained in normal circumstances so it comes as natural to assume the experience was something amazingly fantastically paranormal.
Dr. John said
You take all the fun out of reincarnation.
anthonynorth said
Hi Twilight,
Yes, this is often the problem. Then we have the cultural input. Reincarnation is reincarnation, end of story – a powerful archetypal explanation. And even I accept I’m only offering theories.
Hi Dr John,
I agree with you up to a point. I’m still in the very early stages of this series, highlighting a basic working model. As it continues, I will go deeper and deeper into such subjects. I don’t, for a moment, think I’ve offered a full explanation of such subjects at this early stage.

In my classroom informants are cautioned. I ask, “Are you telling me this to help someone, or to get them in trouble? Think carefully, because if you want to see someone in trouble, I can help you with that.”
And I have been subject to that glare a few times. Why is it that it doesn’t seem quite so harsh until after the fact?

Nice one. Enjoyed this one.

Hi Tony, Nicely done 3WW, I like your use of Luster in the first one and I love the end line rhymes too! Funny how we both picked up the treat/threat thing!
I was thinking about the girl in your paranormal bit, they traced the song back to a book she read in the library, but surely the reincarnationist would only say that this helped to remind her of her past life experience. Anyway!
anthonynorth said
Hi Sandy,
Yes, they’ve got media well and truly sewn up.
Hi Lissa,
Thanks for that. I always like to include a bit of fun
Hi Stan,
I always love your littles notes in your comment.
Hi Lucy,
Yes, there’s a lot of talk around
Hi Grace,
Thanks for the kind words. Look forward to seeing you again.
Hi Quilly,
Yes, informants often do it for themselves. The secret is to work out the motive as soon as possible – such as those who say sunbathing is bad – damn spoil sports
Hi Jeeves,
Many thanks. Glad you liked it.
anthonynorth said
Hi Andy,
Thanks for that. Yes, I reckon it’s us Northerners and great minds, etc
On the reincarnation thing, taken by itself it could well be argued as you say, but other cases are more specific. There was the reincarnated witch who was out by ten years on her trial. A recently published article on the event was discovered that was out by ten years on her trial. Another case involved a woman in York around the time of Constantine. Historically very accurate, but one character lived a hundred years later. Researchers eventually found an old novel by Louis de Wohl called The Living Wood. It included every factual detail recounted, including that character alive a hundred years too early. Some researchers have even taken the subject back to the source of the life while hypnotised, and they’ve said exactly which source they got the info from.

Hey! I enjoyed the tidbit about Cryptomnesia… I’ve long felt something like this could explain such phenomena, but I didn’t know research was being done on it. Entertaining take on 3ww too!

And I agree that some illnesses are cultural. But say that to certain people and it will cause an uproar..so I’ll keep those thoughts to myself.
Have a fine day, sir!
anthonynorth said
Hi Asleep On My Feet,
Thanks for that. Yes, research has been going on in this area for a long time now. It doesn’t get much media interest though.
Hi Lou,
Many thanks. Yes, with some illnesses you may be right. But when repeated over generations, I think they can still become legitimate ailments.

Media Flash…Murdoch Jr. Very interesting. I can’t follow BBC and SKY here in the states nearly as much as I would like. But the control of the media does interest me very much. Here in the states our Republican party supporters have come up with a plan to control the TV major stations. Both FOX and NBC (to some extent) and MSNBC have gone over…to the dark side???? Very interesting stuff Anthony.

Five – Discarnate, or What? – I can not disagree with your analogy Anthony, as it makes sense, and the words you used to explain it is very complex, but understandable with a little research.
However, I have a simple way of looking at how we, the individual, tune into the flow of information from the collective; be they so-called dead or alive. I believe in the oneness of all things, therefore, death and life is one — I see death as a simple changing of clothes (as nothing I have come to understand, some I have experienced) ever die. It is easy to, like you say, put things into our sub-conscious and call upon them when required, giving it whatever name or reason we desire — after all, we are children playing with the personalities of our lives in ignorant. Since we mostly deal on a conscious level, we can track the behavior of certain personalities – as such, if one will give that a little thought, with a bit of research, we can be or pretend to be or know anything we like, and the irony is — we will be right more times than wrong. Doesn’t matter what the left brain or the right brain does, to me it’s a machine that houses, like you say, information — and like a computer we can excess it by listening to it many voices, or just write it down — and call it a Bible. After all, most call it the voice of God talking to them.
MEDIA NEWS: – Everyone in the world, especially the masses such as I should agree with you. Media is used at the whim of the few in power; nothing showed this better than the eight years of Bush, Jr. What amazes me is that so many people can be fooled so many times.
TV WATCH: I love Wuthering Heights. I shall make it my business to see this. I didn’t know there was a newer version – but then, I haven’t been myself of late. Thanks for the info.
THE LUSTER – remind me of the man who was well endowed, but had not the skill to used it to please his mate. LOL!
FLASH 55 – THE INFORMANT – LOL! I can relate. Funny thing is whenever I revealed who it was to get the heat off my back, I was the one punished. It only took a couple times — after that my answers, when asked, were always, “Not me” and “I don’t know” – these two became my best friends.
Anthony, I am a bit behind — but I like to read you when I have time. I don’t like to rush, as I enjoy your analogies, even when I don’t always agree with you — you always enlightened me.
anthonynorth said
Hi Amias,
Yes, as my Paranormal series continues I’ll be going deeper into such concepts, and even the workings of the universe, where you’ll find we’re not separated by much. In this early phase, I’m dealing with known abilities before extending them.
You’re right about the media – the propaganda arm of Big Biz. As to your final comment, I’m a great believer that disagreement should not be cause for argument or conflict. It doesn’t always work like that, but it’s a good thing when it does.
Mark said
