THE FEMALE SERF

alpha-woman.jpgTHE FEMALE SERF

Feminism was a marvelous thing. It was so right to give women equality in law. Okay, they may not have made it in many other respects, but it was one of the most fundamental requirements of democracy and freedom, and I applaud it. But …
There’s always a ‘but’ with me. Not concerning the correctness of feminism, but the motive for its acceptance in the wider social sphere. A hint to the reason comes from a new survey that says 850,000 women in the UK in their 60s are having to continue working.

Nothing happens today without a reason.

And often that reason is subtle. For instance, if women hadn’t demanded their rights by going out to work, could house prices be so high today?
High house prices demanded two wage families, and the beauty is, high house prices also provide fat mortgages which are needed to keep Big Biz afloat. A strange relationship, isn’t it?

Freedom only comes in the wake of ideology.

And today’s ideology is of a mass consumer society powered by empire-building multi-nationals. And the only way they could succeed is by allowing ‘freedoms’ that guaranteed their nest could be fuelled.
So work hard you should-be-retired women. It is the ideological thing to do. And your ‘freedom’ has been turned on its head by the system. Of course, it should never have been like this, and hopefully one day it will change. But for now, I’m afraid, the major success of feminism was to turn women into serfs.

FERAL YOUTH

Expressing anger over the murder of Garry Newlove, Judge Ian Trigger has spoken out about a country ‘bedevilled by feral youth.’ He has blamed a society obsessed with ‘rights’. But does the problem go deeper than this …

OF MALE AND FEMALE

Posted by anthonynorth on October 15, 2007

people-19.jpg I am now risking life and limb by entering the debate into the difference between male and female. First of all, while differences may be due to gender, genes, whatever, I think there is another vital element to it.
We talk of behaviour being due to nature or nurture, but I think there is a third influence - culture. To me, traits and behaviour enter a society over generations due to cultural education.

This creates stereotypes …

… and I think we are so easily enticed to follow them. It is made easier by people having what I call a ‘mask’. This is the social ’self’, as opposed to the real ’self’ in the mind.
The social self is very stereotypical, because it wants acceptance and this comes from being like everyone else of your sex, etc. The real self is usually not like this. With a seemingly confident person, the real self is under-confident. With a well organised social self, the real self is messy.

Hence, both male and female fall into a social pattern that seems predictable.

However, a person’s distinct view of a gender type can often be clouded. For instance, if you only see an organisational male, could it be down to the type of male a female attracts?
In many ways we meet and make friends with the type of person we prefer. Hence, our view of the opposite sex can have as much to do with the person’s preferences than a reality of the opposite sex.
Of course, this all becomes irrelevent when it comes to which sex is the more superior. I would choose the male. My reason?
WE can aim :-)

UNDERSTANDING WOMEN

Posted by anthonynorth on July 14, 2007

delta-woman.jpg (Important note: please take this post in the jocular spirit it is intended).
Of all the mysteries in all the world none is more puzzling than woman. And yes, I’m a man. I know my place in the world, but understand it is always being baffled by woman. Maybe that’s why man cannot understand; because the world he sees as his. But man IS superior, isn’t he? After all, he can aim.
Oh, to understand a woman - her whims, her needs, her desires, her reason for being here.

EVOLUTIONIST THEORY

Evolutionists think they’ve understood her. Everything she is - everything she does - is geared to placing her genes best. Her inner nature drives her to the best man for procreation and healthy offspring. And this can cause many problems for men.
According to the latest research, when a woman flirts, she isn’t necessarily fancying you, but testing you. And of course, man always considers it fancying, and another brush with sexual harassment is not far off. But in her body language, her gestures, her signals, she is doing nothing more than sizing you up.
When the perfect man is there, and procreation is had, never expect to be number one. She has those bags of genes called children to nurture. And quite rightly so. The father who gets jealous of his son is not only morally wrong, but naturally wrong.
And the children are growing, about to fly the nest? Unless you are truly and inseparably in love, serial monogamy could well be on the way. Evolutionists, you see, have decided that, just as nature thrives best with diversity, so does woman. And one man maybe isn’t enough.

RELIGIOUSLY SPEAKING

Those clever evolutionists seem to have it sown up. They understand women better than anyone. Except, of course, they’ve left out things such as love, jealousy, duty and a host of human traits that have nothing to do with hard science.
Does the Bible help us? According to Genesis, woman was a bit of spare created from Adam’s rib. There are standard jokes about this. To women, Eve was the result of God ironing out the imperfections in man; to men, she was proof of God’s sense of humour. But clearly the Bible portrays woman as so often the temptress. From Eve tempting Adam with the ‘apple’, her fate was sealed as that sexual distraction that will always infect man’s mind.

FEMALE MANIPULATION

This does, of course, tell us more about man than woman. It is rarely woman who causes the trouble, but man being unable to control his lust. This is particularly true today, in a world where women think they can have cross-gender friendships, but men still think that if a woman is friendly, it’s an invitation for sex.
The Bible IS correct concerning the subtle manipulations of women. No gender is better prepared to get what they want by stealth. The pout, the gyration of the hips, even the delicate finger down the back of the neck, turns men to putty.
Men see this as the root of all evil, but it is much more preferable than man’s way of getting what he wants - to fight his way to success.

WOMAN IN SOCIETY

This seductiveness of woman has kept her out of history for most of known civilisation. But in reality, she has been at the forefront of history all along. There used to be a saying that a successful man needs a good woman behind him. This remains absolutely true. So often it is the woman driving her man on, advising, giving confidence, warning of the pitfalls.
This vital role of woman appears in all areas of life. There is the old stereotype of the man as head of the household, the breadwinner, going out into the world, while the woman stays at home, the homemaker.
This was a world with clearly defined boundaries. And yes, the man was in the world, but the woman was so often the power, bringing up the children how she wanted; and God help a man who interfered with her running of the house.

FEMALE SPIRITUALITY

This truth is gone now, for we live in a world of equality. But this centreing of power in the woman seems to have echoes in nature and early societies. From the Queen bee to the lioness, nature places the female in the primary role.
In early pagan societies the woman similarly seems to have been predominant, with deities such as the Goddess and Mother Earth. Indeed, it seems that civilisation as we know it began when woman was knocked off her primary pedestal.
The female seems to have been venerated in a world where impulses were cyclical. This was a time before history as we know it, where life was regulated in the never ending seasons, with everything repeated and going back to the beginning ad infinitum. Then, suddenly, along came man with his great big ego, deciding this unchanging world was insufficient.

IN CONCLUSION

He changed cyclic life into linear life, with things only being good if it caused advancement. This was the dawn of history, locking woman into the only cyclical element of life left - the home and the family.
Thus, woman was removed from her predominance, and remained removed until the advent of feminism. Now, woman is liberated - free to do her own thing, and entering the history books again. But what has really happened is that woman has now become linear. In effect, she has not come into the world by bringing with her her female abilities, but by leaving them behind and becoming just like man.
Whether that makes feminism a success, I’m not so sure. But one thing is clear. Just as we men begin to understand women, they go and reverse the lot, leaving us just as confused all over again.
Now isn’t that typical of a woman.

FEMINISM - WHAT ARE WOMEN NOW?

Posted by anthonynorth on March 5, 2007

Feminism. That’s what we’re talking about here. And it’s always a touchy subject when someone like me deals with it. You know, a man!
The question is, what is involved in women gaining equality with men? Well, first of all, it is unlikely that there has ever been a society where the genders are equal. In the insect world, and in many animal types, the female is powerful and the male put down. This seems to be happening today in our society. As women gain more and more power, equality goes by the board, and the very role of man is coming under threat in the workplace and in the family. Which means, equality always was a con.
There is evidence of women-centred societies in mankind’s past. It looks increasingly like the first deities were female, expressed in the Mother Goddess, usually representing nature. This is obvious, the first religions being about fertility of woman and Earth. Such societies had no history to pass on to us. This is because they would seem to have followed a very different mind-set to modern man.
To understand this, we must look to man’s mind-set once man had moved into a position of power. This seems to have happened in the west with the rise of Monotheism, beginning with Judaism, and then Christianity and Islam. Earlier, pagan city-states were becoming man-centred, but still had female deities. But in Monotheism, the female was ousted, and in her place, man arrived on the cultural scene with his Ego.
This seems to be the primary difference, historically, between female and male centred societies. Female societies have tended to be cyclical, locked into a process of following the cycles of nature. Man-centred societies have been linear, man’s Ego requiring advancement and striving to continue to prove the value of Ego.
In the East, many societies retain the old cyclical way of life, as best seen in Hinduism. But in the west, Monotheism propelled man’s Ego to monumental wars, inventions and empires. In this sense, the modern world is very much a man’s idea.
Feminism directed its assault right into the centre of this man-world. And in doing so, the very fabric of this world has become blurred. But in one essential area, feminism is beginning to have great success - although not as great as they are hoping for. This area involves women moving into man’s traditional role as family provider and worker. But historically, isn’t there a problem here?
Women, it seems, have moved into the linear, whereas they should have tried to recreate the cyclical. So is feminism a success if the idea is to turn women into men?
