THOUGHTS FROM A COMMON MAN
News and comment LATEST: Has PC done for T-Rex? … PLUS … US troops to stay in Iraq; Some ideas are a load of rubbish; and God save us from Quangos.
POSTED EVERY TUESDAY AND FRIDAY … from a real voice of Britain and the world.
PC HITS T-REX
Well it had to happen. Cuddly big T-Rex is increasingly not the predator we thought it was. First of all, it was recently announced it could have evolved into the chicken. Now it has been declared a slow coach.
Researchers have checked just how fast T-Rex could have run, and whilst it could just have equaled the fastest man, it would soon be well out of breath. Its legs are simply too fragile, and its body too large to allow it to be a sprinter.
Hence, much of its food would evade it. It obviously won’t be long before it is confirmed what some think. It was nothing but a cheap scrounger. However, we must remember man’s capability for placing on the past the standards of the present.
Is it a case of political correctness gone mad? Well, maybe. After all, the new super-predator turns out to be Compsognathus – the fastest thing on two legs ever … and the size of a chicken.
